Sigmund Freud, the founder of the theory of psychoanalysis, explains his approaches and interpretation techniques for dreaming in his Introduction to Psychoanalysis-Dream (1917). He does this by discussing dream symbols, hidden thoughts, ancient remains, adult baby syndrome, child dreams, censorship, and examples from the dreams he works on.
