Niccolo Machiavelli was born on May 3, 1469, in Florence. Despite being from a noble family, he is the son of a poor father. Before he died, his father's will was in the form of "Live happily, spend less". He criticized politics without hesitation. This structure of his made the signal of how he would become a writer in the future. One of the critical situations for the author's political life is that he took office as the second clerk in the administration of the Republic of Florence in 1498.
