“Around the World in Eighty Days” is an adventure novel published in 1873 and it was the peak of Verne’s adventure fiction. The main backbone of the novel is a bet between the English gentleman Phileas Fogg and his colleagues from the Reform club. They bet in 20.000 pounds that Fogg, as the title suggests, go around the world in 80 days. Fogg was driven by the challenge and the desire to acquire something great.
